Diamonds are forever, and so is the charm of soaring high on a classic Zeppelin airship. However, this Zeppelin tastes the scorching heat of Botswana's Kalahari Desert for a purpose rather than leisure. De Beers has leased this $9 million airship to navigate the sands of the Kalahari Desert for buried diamonds through high-tech sensors.

The Zeppelin airship is first of its kind employed for geophysical surveying to dig out hidden gems. The airship delivers accurate results owing to less vibration while surveying and slow speed.
