Dazzle your house with Light-transmitting concrete blocks

The light-transmitting concrete blocks called 'LiTraCon' are originally designed by architect Aron Losonczi and are patented and marketed by a Hungarian company.

It's based on a simple idea. To create such blocks, concrete is mixed with 'optical fibers' 'so that the fibers create a fine glass aggregate within the concrete.' The light is transferred via these glass fibers from one side of the block to the other, creating the effect of light transmission and also amazingly the display of sharp shadows on the dark side, as shown in the picture above.
