Posted By: Desh Raj Sharma | Feb 14 2009
Have you ever seen blocks/tiles playing music, talking and doing calculations? If not, then this video might make you wonder how these cookie-sized, computerized tiles do it! Well, MIT grad student, David Merrill presents Siftables in a unique way. His digital, thinking Siftables are independent, compact devices and are capable of sensing, offering graphical display and communicating wirelessly. Hence, the technology lends a sort of vibrancy to these toy blocks, enabling them to interact with digital information and media. Be it gestural interaction languages or the complicated HCI applications, these mini-computers execute them all.
