Recycling takes a whole new (and bizarre) meaning, with this fantastically designed sandal pair (in case you have still not comprehended the nature of the conception). Conceived head to 'toe' from discarded PC mother boards, ribbon wires and a myriad of other electronic thingamajigs, the footwear is aptly christened as the Data Sandals.

Currently available on Etsy, perhaps this is the first time any footwear has been crafted entirely from a host of electronic paraphernalia. Yes, it was certainly a unique and novel choice; though, we are not sure about the comfort level offered by the swathe of circuitry. But beyond user criteria, the intriguing visual element screams with an eccentric yet delectable sci-fi vibe. Yet, don’t sweat; it doesn’t go out of its way and do something scientific (you know like flying capability or speed boosting).

Coming with a price tag of $350, there will indeed be a very few of us to splurge money on these types of 'special' accessories. On the other hand, who can deny the thin line separating highfalutin fashion and oddball styles making news around the world?
