DARPA visions brain stimulating helmets to enhance soldiers’ cognitive ability
After what we all know and DARPA has done, the Pentagon’s research wing now in collaboration with neurotechnology lab of the Arizona State University visions to venture into new realms of brain-machine interface by stuffing in US troops’ helmets with a device to simulate the brain. The device within the helmet would simulate the brain from the outside to enhance cognitive abilities, improve alertness and help reduce, pain, stress and anxiety.

The developed transcranial pulsed ultrasund would specialize in ultrasonic brain simulation to make troops smarter and to prevent them against traumatic brain injuries, majorly responsible for casualties in the battlefield. The device made small enough to fit within the soldier’s helmet, has been tested to target smallest of brain regions. The microcontroller device courtesy ultrasound capabilities, simulates various brain regions to relive the user against pain and also guard against traumatic brain injuries.
