While we still wait for someone to toss up cyborg men who’ll force their way over the extraterrestrial natives, scientists have managed to give us revived thoughts, stuffing insects with electronics. We’ve seen DARPA-backed R/C cyborg flying beetles and moths live in the real scenario, and now we confront real scorpions, beetles and bats retro fitted with munitions and mechanized for a bio-inspired invasion. These may seem plucked off some furthest vicinity of the sci-fi genre, but the creator’s ingenuity sure deserves a pat, and DARPA could get this going real too. More pics after the break.
