Customized Froyo environment for Android devices courtesy ROM applications

Those of you having Android phones can experiment by installing modified ROM’s onto your rooted device that provide you with extra edge in functionality. For those who don’t know, ROM for you Android device allows you to change you phone’s OS in case you are not satisfied with the shipped-in default operating environment. If you are looking for an unbeatable duo of applications and custom modifiable Froyo goodness, then some good news for you .CyanogenMod-6.0 stable version has been released and is now available for download. Using it you can have the custom Froyo operating system for you Android phone(s).

CyanogenMod-6.0 claims to works with Nexus One, Dream/Magic, Desire, Hero, Slide, Droid Incredible, Droid, Aria and Galaxy S phones.

NOTE: Users have complained that CyanogenMod-6.0 doesn’t work with Samsung Galaxy S phones, so I’m afraid Galaxy users will have to wait for the application update.
