Creative ZiiLABS has introduced the launch of Zii Plaszma, an open source platform for both Plaszma and the Android operating Ssystem. Along with the Zii Plaszma, the company also announced the Zii EGG handheld StemCell PMP, quite identical to the iPod touch. The Zii EGG is compatible with both Android and its own Plaszma operating system. Check out the demo video below.
The little battery-powered PMP, the EGG, features a 3.5-inch 10-point multi-gesture touchscreen with an impressive ability to deliver HD video in 1080p. It employs Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS for connectivity, 256MB RAM, and up to 64GB of storage with SDHC card slot. The device is also embedded with forward and rear facing cameras, for video conferencing and photography respectively.
Targeted mainly toward designers and manufacturers, to chalk out their product graphics even better, the EGG will available for a modest $199 price. To complete its spec list it has X-Fi audio tech, accelerometer and a headphone socket, and we guess it will also make a good consumer gadget once it is up and selling.
