Creating music of the mind, the brain is the new musical instrument

I often thought how it would be if we could create music without the instruments and only the brain. It did feel stupid, but this effort to turn brainwaves into musical compositions from flautist and saxophonist Finn Peters and Mick Grierson of Golfsmiths College, London has made me all excited. Grierson has developed a program that allows a computer to read music notes from the mind and the play them back. Combining his music fantasy with the brilliance devised by Grierson, Finn Peters is able to create music from the brain as it would be interpreted by grand piano, synth and vibraphone.
