
South Korean electronics giant, Cowon has showcased its high-tech portable media player, P5 that offers superb audio and video services along with Bluetooth support, while luring customers with its elegant design. Dubbed as one of the strong iPod competitors, the Cowon P5 PMP supports a host of video and music files such as AVI, ASF, WMV, MPG, OGM, DivX, Xvid, MPEG, WMV9, MP3, WMA and AC3. Sporting a 5-inch 16.7 million color wide TFT LCD, the portable player can play video files for about nine hours and music files for 14 hours. It also supports photo player, document viewer, UBS host and USB 2.0. Some of the vital features include Widget and Haptic User interface, T-DMB TV tuner and FM radio.
Weighing just 380g and measuring 138.8 x 88.5 x 20.0 mm, the portable media player does run on the RMI Alchemy AU1250 700Mhz CPU. It offers rich storage capacity (Between 40GB to 80GB). The company is planning to launch the PMP by the end of this month. It will be available in three colors, black, red and platinum. However, Cowon has not disclosed the price of product.
