Intel has revealed that the first chips of the new line of ‘Core’ brand would be called Core i7. The high performance and energy efficient microprocessors are based on a design which was code-named Nehalem. The Core name has already been used for its flagship models and the company seeks to do just that in the future with the Core i7 products. The new range of chips would come with i7 identifiers and would include an ‘Extreme Version’. The new range would go into production the last few months of this year. One can hope to see something really cool by Intel and they have not disappointed anybody so far.
