I hate it when I have to copy all those pics from my camera onto my PC and burn them using software so that I can play them on my DVD player for family viewing. It is a compact recorder that is specially made for converting your JPEGs to MPEGs and burning them onto CDs. Just to make things better, it features an indexing option that enables thumbnail view, so that you can pick what you want to see. It can also burn images as they are, I mean JPEG. That will avoid you some work while you are taking back-ups. The recorder is equipped with RCA and S-Video inputs and thus it also acts as a player that you can hook to your TV set.
Did I tell you that it’s got a USB cable, so that you can hook card reader to it and it can read from Compact Flash, Smart Media, Memory Stick, Secure Digital, Multi-Media Card, and Microdrive memory cards? This amazing device (at least it seems to be amazing) measures 3” x 10.5” x 10”, weighs 1.5 lbs and is available for $200.
