Computerized Lip-Reading systems under development
Computerized systems to track face and lip movements have already been built at the Surrey University.

Now researchers at the University of East Angila are developing a computerized lip-reading system.
The University has already received a grant of $765,000 to complete the project. This system when fully complete will be able to turn lip movements into text.
According to the researchers at the University of East Angila such system will be able to fight crime as they will tell the words spoken by a criminal from videos that are shot at places where audio recording is impossible.
These researchers also stated that to be accurate and effective these systems must accurately track the head over a variety of poses and extract the words that are being spoken.
