Computer programs make elder brains younger, sharper
The researchers at Posit Science have conclusively stated that the computer-based brain training programs can sharpen the memory power and improve other cognitive skills in 65 plus adults.

The US-based firm has come up with the major findings of its recently concluded IMPACT (Improvement in Memory with Plasticity-based Adaptive Cognitive Training) study, in which more than 500 men and women over 65 were tested with brain fitness programs.
More than half of the participants completed 40 hours of brain exercise with Posit Science Brain Fitness Program. The remaining adults just used the traditional computer-based educational training programme for the brain exercise. During the experiment, the participants were asked questions relating to daily tasks, like remembering names, phone numbers, or other simple questions.
The result of the study is impressive. The Posit Science group showed tremendous memory gains of about 10 years and enhanced cognitive skills. The Posit software is available for around £200.
