Ping pong can be an addicting game. After addictinggames.com coming up with an online ping pong version, we now have a computer that can actually play ping pong against itself!
How is this possible?
A webcam along with a custom designed software are used by the computer to play ping pong against itself.
Absolutely no human interaction is needed whatsoever.
The webcam is basically becomes the computer’s eye.
Ashish Derhgawen has developed this neat technology.
I think this is a really cool technology. So, when the computer is ‘bored’, it can play this game by itself. The only thing that bothers me though is the fact that we are giving these machines their brains. Hopefully, it won’t prove to be detrimental.
However, pricing information on this kind of technology is nowhere to be found. I guess this is just a sort of ‘fun’ kind of invention not targeted for marketing.
