Colossal Storage to introduce 1.2 petabytes of storage discs

The EMC Symmetrix DMX-3 storage array did it earlier this year and now following the line, Colossal Storage too is planning to reach petabytes of storage, rather 1.2 petabytes to be precise. So, our dream of data-compression-free future without backups is slowly coming true.
Michael Thomas, the brain behind the invention, claims to be the first to construe 'non-contact optical spintronics' ultimately creating 3.5-inch discs with 1.2 petabytes of storage. The disc will cost around $750 each.
