Cockroach-controlled mobile robot
Posted By: Vikas Shekhawat | Apr 10 2006
Moving ahead of harnessing nature and incorporating it in the world of technology, now we've started taming it. This 'Cockroach Controlled Mobile Robot', an easy target as we'll know that cockroaches do not have brains, though not a new concept, is driven by a living Madagascan hissing cockroach placed on top of a modified trackball to control the movement of a three-wheeled robot. The cockroach act as a CPU receiving feedback from infrared sensors fitted on the robot. The so called pseudo-intelligent system was first introduced in 2004.
