Ever since iPod Touch’s release, all MP3 player manufacturers have been trying their luck with touch screen based media player. Or atleast all blogger’s think they do. Now Coby is back with another PMP and this time it’s a touch screen based player. It’s named MP-835 and features a 3-inch 480 x 272 widescreen TFT LCD touch screen, memory space of 2GB or 4GB, expandability option using MicroSD slot and FM radio. It is, by most, called as a wannabe iPhone attempt by Coby. I won’t say if it’s an iPhone rip-off or not but I do know that if this thing is priced aggressively then it can become a moderate hit in the PMP market. Though its being available only in 2GB and 4GB options sound a bit lame, but expandable memory option is quite nice. Other than that it handles basic formats like WMA, OGG, MP3, AVI and WMV files. In addition it can also handle text files and photos.
