Almost everyone is nowadays looking for a greener healthier solution for our daily needs. Somehow, people who won’t mind spending thousands in new Eco-Friendly machines manage to forget that one of the most non eco-friendly things is car. We use it everyday and thus contribute in making this world more polluted and unsafe. When you are traveling locally, it’s recommended that you use cycle as it is eco-friendly and cycling also help in killing excessive fat. If it has been difficult for you to motivate yourself to use cycle then this new service can be useful for you. It compares the number of calories burnt by cycling/walking with the amount of Carbon Dioxide that would have been emitted by driving for same distance.

This service is available to Navitime service users; Navitime is currently accessible from PCs and four windows based smartphones viz, HTC Touch Cruise and Trinity, the Motorola Moto Q and the Samsung Blackjack II. Later this month, Java version will be launched. When you type in your route in Navitime software, it shows you a number of options which tell you about the calories burnt and carbon dioxide produced.

Navitime is a Tokyo based service which has been recently launched in US market, Navitime does not have enough information on US subways thus it does not give options involving train use.
