Day after day a new GPS device pops up on the market, confusing those who are out there looking for one of these. Announced in September by the maker Clarion, we had been on the tenterhook for the MiND. And as pledged, Clarion has delivered the mobile internet device in the American market. The 4.8-inch WVGA touchscreen Clarion MiND is available at Crutchfield for $650 without shipping charges. The device is available in three colors, black, red and white, runs Linux OS on an Intel Atom processer, with 512MB of RAM and a 4GB SSD. Preloaded with U.S. and Canadian maps, the GPS device also supports Bluetooth, and is WiFi-enabled. Touting a battery life of 1.5hrs, two USB ports and 800 x 480 screen resolutions, the MiND has a Firefox-based web browser. Given the slump in the American financial fairyland, we aren’t sure how many would share an opinion on buying this mobile internet device, but in totality the MiND is a useful product stuffed in with nearly all.
