If your office cubical or a room back home entertains a laser printer, then may be it's time to part ways, considering your health - that's being affected by the emitted tiny particles of toner which on inhaling affect the body as much as the smoke particles from a cigarette.

The investigation has revealed that almost one third of the printers emit the potentially dangerous particles, but if used a lot for graphic and heavy photo prints, all could have the same effect.

Open office test were conducted on the printers that revealed that particle levels in the air increased five-fold during the working day due to printer use, infiltrating into the lungs causing a range of health problems from respiratory to illnesses that are more chronic. So in an age when all are highly health conscious it may be time to get back to the inkjet printers, or if you cannot do without the lasers, placing them in ventilated areas away form yourself could be an alternative.
