Christmas Release Of The iPhone Nano Likely
It isn't always that a company launches a new version of an existing product before the dust starts settling down. This perhaps explains why industry insiders aren't entirely convinced about the release of the iPhone Nano. However, rumor mills have been running overtime suggesting a Christmas release of the stripped version of the trendsetting Apple iPhone. And, industry sources are swearing by their scoop, which they say is strengthened by the fact that a top-ranked official in Apple had hinted at a 'transition'. The 3G iPhone had recently taken over from its predecessor, but failed to woo customers who prefer the pay-as-you-go model. Despite this, the phone has managed to sell like hot cakes in the UK market. In view of this, it is highly unlikely that the company would pitch in with a newer version and kill the 3G version. At the same time, it is possible that Apple has recognized the need for a smaller touchscreen phone that doesnt compromise on the feature range of its bigger cousin.

If we go by reports, the iPhone Nano could feature a touch wheel at the back for dialing numbers. The display, however, would be retained at the front, albeit in a smaller version. It is expected that O2 will launch the latest version of the iconic iPhone at up to £150 for pay-as-you-go customers. Rumors or otherwise, we are sure of one thing - if there was a Nano, it would end up being a giant-killer for sure. Touchscreen competitors of the Apple, beware!
