Chinese DIY-er builds a robot chef to make cooking easier

This isn’t the first cooking robot we’ve seen. Then you’ll ask what’s different here, unlike the professionally made ones we’ve seen previously, this one – the Robot Cook is an invention of a retired Chinese engineer Lui Changfa. Made in parts of junk ranging from a steel ball and hammer to an oven, the bot is created precisely to make cooking easier and is therefore capable of cooking various kinds of dishes. Equipped with a range of menu and software detailing, the robot chef that stands 1.5-meter tall with an electric oven and an induction cooker installed in the belly, can be programmed to prepare a dish to suit your taste. The bot is connected to a laptop and a cellphone that allows the user to choose from a preset menu. The robotic chef would soon find way into a Chinese restaurant, where it would be tested for perfection.
