China spins world's largest Ferris wheel

China claims to have developed the world's tallest Ferris wheel, a 525 foot high 'Star of Nanchang' set up in Jiangxi. China spend 57 million yuan ($7.1 million) to make the 'London Eye', the current Guinness World record holder established on the banks of the River Thames, look dwarf by full 82 feet.

Star of Nanchang is expected to drive people crazy with the incredible scenery it promises for those on the gondolas. Equipped with 60 compartments, each capable of carrying eight people and 6,500-meter-long fluorescent red and blue lights the gigantic wheel will take 30 minutes for a full rotation.
