China does another first with world’s first Windows XP phone

Now, that’s what Chinese are capable of, doing things not even thought of before. Even Microsoft would have been taken aback by this novel display at Computex, wherein a Chinese company unveiled the world's first cellphone that runs Microsoft Windows XP. Surprising! What’s more is that the phone, dubbed the xpPhone, has a full QWERTY keyboard and a mammoth 120GB hard drive, and it’s still a phone. With a competitively large 4.8-inch touchscreen LCD with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, the cellphone runs on a customized AMD chip and supports Wi-Fi, WiMax and GPS, but still has three months before it is marketed in the country. If you thought Chinese phones eat a lot of battery, the xpPhone has about seven hours of backup; I am floored for this one.
