China beats others in fire-fighting home robot contest

We saw these machines fighting on the celluloid but you might wonder why Japanese and Chinese are training their machines to perfection for these real feats. We just saw OmniZero.2 routing all other robots in the Robo-One competition in Tokyo and recently robomaniacs from five countries gathered to show the dexterity of their machines in the 13th Annual Trinity College Fire-Fighting Home Robot Contest in Hartford, Connecticut and, not to mention, the Chinese team won three gold medals.

More than 100 robots participated in the annually Trinity College home robot contest with 15 of them from China.
