
Sequans and ZyXEL are the new partners for Sprint’s Mobile WiMAX system or Xohm network, which are also involved in Sprint’s interoperability testing along with subscriber devices from ZyXEL and leading RAN vendors like Motorola, Samsung, and Nokia-Siemen. The collaboration came out with their first Xohm product at CES and introduced its ‘ZyXEL MAX-206m2 devices’. It is a 4G modem/router that will deliver high-speed Internet access wirelessly with built-in residential gateway functions in an elegant form factor. There are no details available on pricing, but the product is expected to hit the commercial market in the second quarter of 2008.
