How many products can be shown in the 25,000 square foot booth? Well for Samsung the answer is whole gamut. So here is a round up of all major announcements and launches of Samsung in this years CES.
We start with displays and go all the way to up coming A-VSB technology covering in the way UMPC, music players, jukebox and Blu-ray players.

LCD’s, DLP’s and CRT:

Samsung one of the world’s largest electronics giant unveiled their 2007 LCD/ Plasma CRT and DLP line up:
Here’s a brief overview of the products of 2007.

The 53 H line up:

Slated for March debut these will have 720p resolution with 7000:1 contrast ratio with USB 2.0 connectivity. The response time will be 8ms these will be first LED-backlit TV’s.

There will be 5 TVs in this series starting from 19-inch to 40-inch.

‘ LN-T1953H will be a 19-inch TV with estimated price tag of $529

‘ LN-T2353H will be a 23-inch with estimated price tag of $849

‘ LN-T2653H a 26-inch TV and will be priced for $1,299

‘ LN-T3253H is a 32-incher with estimated price tag of $1,699

‘ LN-T4053H a 40-inch will be highest width with price tag of $2,299


65F series:

The 65 F series will have 1080p resolution with contrast ratio of 12,000:1 and 3 HDMI 1.3 connections. There will be three products in this series LN-T4065F, LN-T4665F and LN-T5265F all will have USB 2.0 ports but the price and release dates have not been finalized.

DLP line-up:

Samsungs DLP line up will also be boosted with following products in 76S series which will be in the range of 50-inch to 61-inch. They will be 3D ready with 10,000:1 contrast ratio and will incorporate Brilliant color II technology.

HL-T5076S will be the 50-inch base product priced at $2,099 with 56-incher HL-T5676S priced at $2,499. The 61-inch HL-S6176S will be priced at $2,899.

Plasma TV line:

Plasma TV line up will also see many products this year with 1080p HDTV resolution and these HDTV’s will be ready 10,000:1 contrast ratio and HDMI 1.3.

The range starts from 42-inch HP-T4264 slated for March release priced at $2,299 and HP-T4254 also a 42-incher fro July priced at $2,099.

The 50-inch product line with 13-bit signal processing and 1,300 cd/m2 brightness ratio will see

‘ HP-T5084 will be released in May and priced at $4,199.
‘ HP-T5064 will be released in March and come for $3,199
‘ HP-T5054 slated for July release it will be priced at $2,999

The 58-inch line will see HP-T5894W and HP-T5884 priced at $5,699 and $5,199 respectively.

Samsung CRT:

The CRT line up will see the introduction of 93 series with two products TX-T3093WH and TX-T2793.
The former will be a 30-inch display priced at $699 while the latter is a 27-inch display with price tag of $549.
Largest LCD HD TV:

Apart from this they will also be coming up with the worlds largest HD LCD TV a 57-inch giant that has ATSC tuner 1920 x 1080 resolution with contrast ratio of 1000:1 and 8ms response. Will be unleashed in June at the price of $15,999.

Second Gen Blue-ray Player:

Samsung will also be debuting second generation Blue-ray player which will be about 20 per cent cheaper than the current one.

Although company has no plan to introduce hybrid player on the lines of what LG announced but says that they will think if the industry remains divided on this issue. (Pictured above is BD-P1000 1st Gen player)

Samsungs MultiKet X :

This is a multi function device with a 10x optical zoom and a 2.5-inch LCD screen that displays 123k colors. Apart from this it also has USB compatibility with Firewire and 32 MB internal memory. There is also memory stick slot attached to it. It will take pictures play MP3 and record voice and is slated for a March release. It will be priced around $600.

Samsung’s YH-J70 PMP:

Although the release date is yet to be finalized this PMP supports 20GB hard drive with 1.8-inch 260K LCD screen.
It has USB support and supports MPEG-4, OGG, MP3 and WMA files with battery support of 30 hours.

YP-K3 Juke box and T9B:

YP-K3 media jukebox will give iPod nano direct competition with good looks and features.

It is just 0.27-inch thick with 1.8-inch OLED screen with support to MP3 and WMA file formats.

It has LED ‘lit touch screen and playforsure with 2GB, 4GB, and 8GB versions available.

Samsung’s T9 :

The T9 is finally coming to US market but when is not known as there is no final decision on its launch date. But this Bluetooth compatible music player will have 4GB memory with support for MP3, WMA, MPEG-4 and FM tuner.

Q1 UMPC:

May 1 has been set as the launch date of Samsungs Q1 UMPC. The product has the customized version of Windows XP tablet PC edition.

It will feature facilities like thumb-typing and accessing media files. In Korea it is priced at $1200 lets what the price will be in USA.


A-VSB: New standard in mobile broadcasting

Samsung also presented there new mobile broadcasting standard A-VSB although in 2007 only field trials will be conducted this will change the whole face of mobile broadcasting. It is built on ATSC platform and allows the receiver devices to broadcast TV on the move. The SFN or Single frequency network sees to it that the signal doe not diminishes in the coverage area there by enhancing the overall viewing experience.
