CES-2007: Philips intros Single Speaker Surround Sound System

Great sound of music is something I always crave for and there is none better than a high-end home theater system connected to a PC or a HDTV.

The thing that I don't like in such systems is that they have five or more speakers to attach so that the system can fill the whole room with the pleasing sound of music.

Philips is reducing the number of speakers to just one with their new creation the SoundBar HTS8100.

The SoundBar is a single speaker home theater system. But do keep in mind that the single speaker is three feet long...!

SoundBar has a blend of some outstanding technology that makes the setup so special. It has Ambisound technology and Smart Surround processing to deliver crystal clear music to the hearers. The three feet long speaker has an aluminum cabinet and a glass front panel. For the music maniacs there is also an additional sub-woofer for that deep bass effect.

The SoundBar will hit the markets in June bearing a price tag of $999.
