Kodak announced four new digital photo frames that are easy to use and install. The display ranges from 10-inch to 7-inches and while EX1011 (10-inch with 800×480 display) and EX811 (8-inch) are 802.11b/g Wi-Fi compatible but the SV811 (8-inch) and SV 710 (7-inch with 480×234 resolution) are standard frames.
All the frames have usual support to memory cards which include CF, SD, xD, MS and MMS with USB 2.0 compatibility also included.
These frames support whole gamut of files from JPEG, MPEG-1, MPEG-4, MOV and AVI audio files.
The pricing starts from $280 for EX1011 while the EX811 will cost you $230.
The standard SV 811 will cost you $180 with lowest price of $130 for SV710. All the frames are slated for March release.
This 7-inch digital photo frame is Bluetooth compatible with 128 Mb of internal memory. Any Bluetooth enabled device can be used to upload photos whose internal memory has enough room to accommodate 500 photos. The strength of the screen is 720 x 480 and has got sensors that automatically adjust screen brightness according to room lighting. They will be available for $249.

The remote lest you control the slideshows and videos of MPEG-1 and MPEG-4 formats. The MP3’s can also be played in this frame with built in speakers. It is available in two colors of Black wood and Cherry wood they are available for $99 upward.
Another photo frame from Mustek at CES boosts of 8-inch and 15-inch display with support for JPEG and MPEG files formats. The display gives the resolution of 1280 x 1024 and has got connectivity through USB. Then there are also MMC and SD card slots to boost the unspecified internal memory.
No info on price and availability.

I believe frames with a 4:3 aspect ratio are more preferable to the above Kodak ones which are 16:9 ratio, since all digital cameras take photos in 4:3 ratio, eg. 640 x 480 pixels.

Although it hasn’t got wireless built in, once you’ve uploaded your photos to a USB drive and plugged it into the frame, you can just set it and forget it... ;-)
