SSD means Solid State Drive. This kind of drive has no or moving parts and is not power-hungry.

SSD's are flash-based drives that mean they are faster and more reliable. These features have made them a part of several laptops. Still considering their high price tags they can only in integrated in high-end machines.

Century has also released SDB25SD DIY SSD. The drive has four 2GB SD cards that mean it offers a maximum storage of 8GB.

The reason for this low capacity is that these drives are not SDHC compatible.

A SDHC compatible drive can hold up to four 32GB cards that mean it can boast of a 128GB memory capacity.

Still if you are content with the 8GB offering of Century, then you will have to pay $258.50 for purchasing one.
