Junkyard electronics can sometimes transform into some of the most exciting gizmos. And for that, a deft-fingered modder has to apply his inherent brilliance. Napes has used a trashed iMac and converted it into an arcade gaming system. To achieve this, he incorporated arcade buttons, gaming joysticks, etc. to the 233MHz 750 processor PowerPC and linked them with the USB controller interface. And with the archaic 15-inch CRT, the arcade system takes on a ’70s look.

Watch This: We love Mac mods, especially the ones using an obsolete PC. It is quite amazing that Napes has managed to put all of these together and create a retro gaming effect for just $200. And with the MacMame emulator software, the past-present balance is complete.
