Haven’t you faced the troubles that come along with our tiny remote controls? I’m sure everyone has to go with it, and these troubles are more involved in case of using multiple digital appliances that need different remote controls. I always used to wonder about having an all in one remote control in place of handling these petty dilemmas now and then. And guess what? Toggle is ready to be my problem solver and I feel it can be yours too. Yes, Toggle is one such unique remote control that will streamline each of the remote functions with its one touch-pad device. It is a beautiful creation by Carbon Design Group.

With Toggle touch-pad one can experience the very fascinating method of touch-n-operate where everything comes alive with just a simple touch. Then be it with any device, say watching TV or surfing internet or else gaming. Now, everything can be handled by this single touch-pad device. The maker of Toggle has taken the inspiration from the smartphones and tablets as everyone is familiar with their touch experience. The remarkable thing with Toggle is that it combines four different interfaces in it where its top layer acts as a masked grid and bottom layer is where the actual work is been designed.

Now, how does this Toggle works? Very simple, Toggle is real easy in operating. You just have to slide the top grid into four different directions, i.e., up, down, left and right. Wait, it’s not finished yet, these directions have their own importance. So when you hold the device horizontally, just shift or slide the device’s top grid to the north direction (up) for the keyboard interface. Similarly, slide it down for experiencing the two-thumbed or multi finger touch-pad experience. Slide it to left and rotate the device vertically to obtain one-hand surfing while sliding to right will give you the common interface of gaming controls. Now you must be wondering how this sliding game works? As it is designed by combining four interfaces, each interface has some graphics (screen prints) designed on it for different purpose. This graphics are back-lit when we slide the top grid in different direction. This sliding side-fire the LEDs so that it can be used in even dim lighting.
Moreover, Carbon has also introduced the customization facility in Toggle. As its capacitive touch technology can be changed or customized to any other functions other than the default ones. Such customization of control only requires the changing of firmware piece and a screen print. Isn’t it a wonderful creation? Kudos to Carbon! Check out the video below to see the Toggle in action.
