With the newly unveiled EOS 60D, a mid-range DSLR, Canon didn’t just want to throw in a replacement for its EOS 50D; they wanted a camera that would impress, with the looks, functionality and features alike. To reach the mark, Canon has developed the 18-megapixel DSLR with an articulated LCD screen on a plastic body.

The EOS 60D opens new opportunities of all pros and amateurs to take their photography skills to the next level with its high speed and high-res camera, which lets the user shoot from all angles. Featuring a single DIGIC 4 processor with 1080p HD video with a variety of user-selectable frame rates and an in-camera movie editing feature, the EOS 60D has an ISO range of 100-6,400 which could be extended to 12,800.

Besides this, the uniquely designed EOS 60D features a flexible 3-inch LCD screen, and offers support for processing RAW images from within the camera. Scheduled to ship towards the end of September, the DSLR may cost at about $1,100.
