Camera phones get better with gyroscopes

Perhaps, they have sensed that the end of cameras is near seeing the growing popularity of mobile camera phones. Moreover, this is the right time to make the latest technology more user-friendly and flawless, especially the problematic image stabilization in most of the devices.

InvenSense Corp. has come up with the world's smallest dual-axis gyroscope to eliminate image quality problems in camera phones by automatically stabilizing the focus and sensing hand motion. The compact size of the single-chip silicon device that works on MEMS technology will not hinder plans of handset manufacturers to churn out compact phones owing to its diminutive size.
