mars rover 2

Must have list:

A pair of Scissors, glue, a ruler, a pointed knife with a not-so-sharp blade, one sheet each of card stock and printer paper.

Getting started:
1. Employ the ruler and knife to make pieces with score lines as per the instructions on page 85. Carefully etch a groove on to the paper without cutting through the paper.

2. Cut out all the numbered parts cautiously.

3. Stick parts labeled 2, 6, 16, and 17 to card stock with a help of Glue. After cutting them again, Glue 12 and 15 to your printer paper and cut them for the second time. Stick these identical segments, labeled number 9, end-to-end. Etch centerline in part 8, fold it in between, glue end-to-end again, and cut out high-gain antenna for your rover (black, red, and white).

4. Glue element 2 to the base of part 1, then cut out the hole towards the face rim.

5. Affix part 3 to the pinnacle of this rig by bonding tabs to their analogous blotching. Attach parts 4, 5, 16, and 17 to the base just like we have done previously.

6. Now cautiously lay your rover upturned on a flat surface, a table for instance. Amass its wheels, numbered 15, 18, and 19. Roll part 18 into a circle and secure by gluing the flap. Fold over teeth in towards the wheel axis. Glue wheel face (part 19) to this tooth. Twist axle (part 15) in order to get its perfect fit into that wheel, and paste in place. Glue wheels to 16 and 17.

7. Now toss the rover upside again. Collect the high-gain antenna (parts 7 and 8), cameras (parts 10, 11, 12, and 14), and bore into 6 and 13. Glue the above discussed parts and low-gain antenna (part 9) in place as depicted in the illustration.
