They say that with the evolvement of the world, the human thought also evolves. Artists had different inspirations in the times of yore and with the evolution of mankind did their thoughts evolve too. An artist would have sculpted Lord Buddha in a deep meditating stance a century ago and would have pleased the common eye. A century later, the thoughts have definitely moved on as a modern day artist, Samuel F Stimpert, chose to depict the sculpture wearing a gas mask giving a stern message to those who think that global warming isn’t a reality. I just hope that the followers of the religion take no offence to this but even they feel the pinch of global warming don’t they!
