British trio launches paper plane in space to capture images of the Earth

Making paper planes was a child’s play for us all when we were growing up, but things have changed drastically in the present day. After a year of perfection, a trio of British space junkies has developed a paper plane with 3ft wing span, which to our surprise has been successfully lifted off the ground into space by a helium balloon and then released at 90,000ft (27,400m), wherefrom it parachuted down clicking pictures of the Earth on the way. Not only did the glider click pictures of the Earth, it also earned itself the recognition of being the first of its kind flyer.

Both the Vulture 1 (as they call the plane) and the balloon had a GPS system fitted to track them and retrieve the pictures and video taken by the plane. The plane and balloon were retrieved 23 miles away from the launch site.
