Communication in a never-before-seen manner! A playful breath on your neck can send a tinge down the whole body but what if this act was to be extended across a coffee table? The Breathe Table purports to transform each one of our breaths into means of interaction. By linking and presenting our breaths as patterns of colorful lights, the Breathe Table is a novel approach to conversing. The breaths are linked via breath sensors, a micro controllers and netConect software to a coffee table. Thereafter our breaths get represented as patterns of vivid lights on the table. The Breathe Table draws inspiration from ancient Indian mythology and wants users to be so perfectly in sync that they may talk without saying a word. This table is a part of Qusai Kathawala’s Visceral Interaction Master graduation project at Art Center Media Design Program. It lights up a dark room brilliantly and forms perfect tuning and harmony among those present.
