LEGO blocks as plaything are way down the pecking order for me. Not so for David McNeely. This guy is one crazy fanatic for LEGOs. His latest creation is a guitar made up of LEGO blocks.
And before you even think about it, let me make it crystal clear. This one’s fully functional. Plug it into a Guitar Hero (PS2) and it will work a fully functional controller. McNeely has achieved similar feats in the past and his resume already includes three working Guitar Hero controllers.

This latest LEGO creation is modeled after fender Geddy Lee Jazz Bass Guitar. David has proceeded very methodically to create this baby. First he took out the guts of the original GH controller and then simply placed it inside a LEGO chassis, which by the way he designed himself.
Every part of the original controller finds a place on the LEGO avatar. Thus, there’s a whammy bar (admittedly in an awkward position), a strum bar, start/select button and the Fret buttons. David says that this is the best out of his three attempts as yet. The best part of it all is that it took him only four days to make it. Wow! He must really love his LEGOs.
