Brain Hacking: Tampering with God's code will bring doomsday prophecy upon us
Brain is perhaps the most multifarious information-processing organ of our body, so complex that we can’t even figure out completely how it functions. Brain performs tasks that can be classified as conscious and unconscious responses, or inputs being disseminated and recollected 24x7. Cognitive neuroscience (the study of brain biology) is constantly trying to understand what all goes on with the gray matter between your ears. Researchers and scientists have found out after decades of research that we in fact have two brains and not one, which have kind of their own way of functioning and providing for activities like movement, presence and loss of attention, detecting sounds, cause-and-effect pro-activeness or understanding details and limits of attention.

.
In the not very distant future, with the exponential rate at which nano-technologies are being researched, we can look forward to some very pleasant results initially. Immortality could be an average affair, with life spans stretching to limits unimaginable as nano-technologies working at very core of genetics. But ultimately these ultra-intelligent creations of human beings will make doomsday a certain eventuality, devouring their own creators. One very interesting application of such nano-technologies is nanobots, which are smaller than size of blood cells.
.

Nanobots work at the atomic level, attaching themselves to the neurons in the brain, to alter the way we perceive our world. Nanobots could also help us improve our immune systems. We would no longer easily get sick because we would be immune to all known viruses and common colds. It is a common belief that we live in an ocean of bacteria and viruses. But at the same time we have an immune system. A person that has a particular cold can be next to someone who has a strong immunity to it and not get sick.
.
.
A virus is much like a nanobot because of its size, and that it has a function. It could be done to numb pain or treat neurological illnesses even before the baby comes out of its mother's womb. Nanobots would alter the DNA in a way the parents want their child to be, any signs of physical or mental deformities would be easily mended. But what if these technologies were used to control the brain in an unethical way. We could be mere zombies, with our brains literally remote controlled by someone else.
.
.
We have enough evidence from our past history that no matter what happens, technologies will be used by anti-elements to create havoc and destruction. Even if that doesn’t happen, don’t you think if we create intelligent nanobots systems, they would evolve or function in unknown directions, with their own agendas and ideas! Well, then the brain will be a communal pool rather than an individual possession.

Ray Kurzweil
"By 2030 or 2035, we will have reverse engineered the human brain. We will have computers that are vastly more powerful, in terms of processing power, than the human brain. We will be able to create non-biological entities that are similarly complex. We will encounter machines—which is to say non-biological entities—whose behavior is so subtle and complex, and rich, which are based on copies of the human brain and body, and copy the human entity in such supreme detail that they will act very human. They will be as complex as human beings, and they will act in emotional ways. They will act upset. They will get the joke. They will act like they suffer, and they will have all the subtle, rich, emotional cues that we associate with a human being. They will be very convincing. They will be very compelling. So much so that human beings of biological origin will be convinced that these entities are conscious. That's an objective prediction."
In a way, all this questions the very existence of mankind or any other living beings on this planet; it’s like tampering with the God Code. Either way, it will definitely be the final nail in the coffin of self-destruction.
