BMC, the Swiss bike manufacturer has taken motorcycles one-step ahead by customizing them according to the rider’s body movements and structure. Its akin to wearing clothes that are stitched, hence, such bikes would definitely be more comfortable to ride and easier to balance. BMC is using motion picture technology from Organic Motion and they are going to install the system in BMC’s 250 dealer locations in the US. The system would consist of 10 high-speed cameras and software, and each system would cost $80,000. The customers need not wear special body suits and once they step into a studio, the cameras will do their job and create a 3D image of the person, which would later be used to design the bike. The technology would be available only on high-end bikes that cost $5000 and more.
