Biomechanical heads a art of grotesque nature

Lewis Tardy is an award wining sculptor who specializes in making mechanical heads which are decapitated so that you can have a look into their actual working.

The heads are made from steel, screws, as well as titanium. All the heads are decapitated to show the vacuum tube and the steel pumps that are beneath the skull.
Shown in the picture is Stryker CMF 'Reconstruction' which has been created using titanium craniomaxillofacial reconstruction plates and screws. The sculptor has created various biomechanical heads from steel and other materials.
