Though bicycles are planet friendly and economical transport options, the lack of parking space in most of our crowded cities make bicycling a bit of a hassle. But, the recent International Bicycle Design Competition was home to a few very innovative concepts like the Everglide that takes bicycle portability to new heights. With the Everglide, you can cycle your way to work and once you reach your workplace, how about packing it into a nice back pack and letting it lie in a corner? Yes, all that is possible as the Everglide is incredibly light and portable too. To fold it into a backpack, you just need to disengage a central lever that lets the Everglide collapse into a nice little bundle, that looks very much like a golfbag. The backpack will also serve as a storage area on the Everglide. To pack in some more innovation into the Everglide, the Australian designer Frag Woodall has given it a Frictionless Dynamo technology to let the users charge electronic devices like mobile phones and iPods.
