The e-book reader industry has come a long way from the time Amazon first released the Kindle. Now, to add a remarkable twist to the readers, BenQ has unveiled the K60 e-book reader equipped with a photovoltaic panel for the auxiliary power needs of the device. Slated to be released sometime in 2011, the solar-powered e-book reader was demonstrated at the 2010 Global Distributors' Meeting. The K60 e-book we learn will support a 6-inch e-ink display with a 2GB of internal memory (extendable) and 3G. There’s not anything more that we can tell of the device as of now, but it’s informed that BenQ also showed a solar-powered concept notebook – now, that sounds interesting too. Thoughts?
