Evidently, the year 2006 will be the year of 3G or, to be more precise, 3.5G phones and to attest it, HTC and BenQ are set to launch their HSDPA phones in the coming months, most probably in July. The exclusive pictures of HTC ‘Breeze’ and ‘Trinity’ handsets we shared in February will soon come alive. We don’t know about ‘Trinity’, but the candybar ‘Breeze’ HSDPA will soon be out, with a 1.3 MP camera, 320 x 240 display, 64MB of RAM and 128MB of flash.
The HTC ‘Muse’ too will be shipped in Q3 as Qtek S300. The HSDPA music phone is pitched to give iPod some heat armed with 4GB of flash and integrated stereo speakers, an FM radio, 240 x 240 display and a 2.1 MP camera.
BenQ Mobile too will launch its first mobile phone with HSDPA data speed boosting extension to 3G technology. The BenQ EF91 will hit Europe in July via T-Mobile. The EF91 features a 3.2 MP camera, a 2′ 240 x 320, 262,144-colour display, 3D surround sound, a Micro SD slot, and of course Bluetooth.
