If you’re looking for a fun-filled alternative to your gas-guzzling SUV, look no further. This amazing Monowheel created by designer Ben Wilson could just be the thing you need to turn over a new eco-friendly leaf and become a true treehugger. The astounding design was commissioned by XXIst Century Man exhibition at 21_21 Design Sight in Tokyo and even though we didn’t quite see members of the delegations visiting the audience riding off into the sunset on their very on solo wheels, we’re optimistic the idea will catch on sooner on later. Sure the lack of stability might cause you to crash against the curb and have a severe concussion, sure the design is a sure fire invitation for truckers to crush out into the road, and sure the uncomfortable riding position might lead to chronic pains in joints you didn’t even know existed, but hey that’s just a small price to pay for the betterment of the planet in the long run, right?
