Power Paper an Israeli company and Enfucell a Finnish company have innovated those common pencil batteries that has been around in the market for so long.
These batteries are so unique. Molded in the form of a simple paper, thin and flexible it offers small amount of electrical charge suitable for various applications like sensors, greeting cards , semi-active RFID, smart cards and even cosmetics. The configuration is neat and simple. The anode and cathode is separated by an electrolyte contained in a paper layer. While Enfucell hopes to develop products from it hopefully after two years Power Paper has already invested it in PowerCosmetics.
Produced simply using printing machines it becomes easy and cheap for manufacturers and best of all, being easily disposable it is environment friendly.
