
The new multi-format VoIP Wi-Fi phone, WLAN800I, unveiled by BCM at Computex 2006 does not require a PC to function. Just hook on the 802.11b/g wireless access point of the phone to the internet and access Skype, SIP services, MSN Talk and MSN Messenger.
The Windows CE kernel based phone support three-way calling and lures with a 2.2-inch 240 x 320 pixels screen with 65,000 colors. It promises 60 hours of battery life in standby and up to three hours’ talk time. You can charge it via the available mini-USB connector. It also comes packed with a media player, a stereo headphone jack, 32MB of flash memory and 64MB of SDRAM. The WLAN800 will be available from BCM in mid July.
