U.S bank has partnered with MasterCard Worldwide, Vita Products, Inc., Oberthur Technologies and FIS™ to launch this innovative and advanced product for its customers in U.S. The bank has already tested the Vitaband in couple of states and is planning to distribute it across the nation.

This MasterCard PayPass Vitaband has an RFID chip in it which facilitates the users to make low value payments at the counter by just waving the watch to a compatible reader. Moreover, every band comes with a unique eight digit numeric identifier which is linked to Emergency Response Profile. This profile contains all needed information and contact details of the user. In case of emergency, this can be a boon and help the medical practitioners to act quickly.
